Save only the part you actually need

From selected text

Select any passage on the page—a paragraph, a few sentences, part of a table row—then right-click and choose Save selection as PDF. The PDF contains exactly the selected range with its inline formatting, links, and images preserved, sized to fit the content.

The selection stays precise: exporting the middle of a sentence produces exactly those characters, not the surrounding paragraph.

From a picked element

Click Pick an element… and hover the page: Web Paperize outlines the block under your cursor. Use ↑ to widen the selection to a parent container or ↓ to narrow it into a child, then click to export. This is the practical way to save one answer, one comment thread, one table, or one figure—without the page around it.

What happens under the hood

1. The picked region is isolated: everything around it is hidden for the print, while the element keeps every style the page gave it.
2. The sheet is cut to the content—so a narrow snippet doesn't land on a mostly-blank A4 page.
3. Chrome renders the region into vector PDF text; the page is then restored to its previous state.

Good fits

• Saving one useful answer or section from a long page you don't want in full.
• Keeping a table, code block, or figure with its styling intact.
• Quoting exactly the passage you selected—no surrounding noise.

Known limits

• Selections inside iframes are not supported yet; use the picker on the surrounding page instead.
• The export captures the element as currently rendered—if its content loads lazily, scroll it into view first.
